OPENING THE DOOR TO THE UNKNOWN
WORDS BY DERRY TYDEMAN
Looking back on the second birthday of The Glorious, I'm filled with pride to see how much we have grown since 2014 when we opened our door to the unknown and unexplored.
All my years in big businesses taught me that to make something work you needed to buy cheap and sell high. It just wasn't a rule I could believe was the only way, and now looking back I'm confident that it's not. We make a lot of decisions people don't always understand straight away, but we make our decisions focused on the team that are the face of The Glorious and the Customers who are the heart of our business.
The arguments about spending so much on crockery, golden framed mirrors, designer wallpaper or victorian taps are behind us, and begrudgingly I confess, my mother was right all along...
When you build something out of love and with a desire to celebrate how great life can be when filled with beauty and colour you do not make your fortune, instead you are uplifted and rewarded in positivity every day.
And so we invite you to share with us our treasure, our cafe, our little place of Gloriousness.
Where possible we source ingredients from local suppliers and producers.
Please ask a member of staff for allergy advice.
All our food is prepared to order, please allow time for this at your visit.
